  • Are you a responsible traveller? Don’t just take away a memorable day or a souvenir of your time in Mauritius. Plant a native tree during your visit to Ebony Forest and help save endangered plants and animals, as well as contributing to averting the Climate Crisis. Less than 2% native forest remains in Mauritius so that 1 tree planted will make a significant contribution to recreating native forest.
Join an experienced guide in our Native Plant Nursery where you will select a native or endemic species to plant. Learn about what work we do in the plant nursery, how we propagate the different species and about of weeding and planting work. In one of our plant restoration sites, you will dig your hole and plant your chosen plant. Cherish the moment by taking a photo with the plant you planted. Discover what an endemic forest looks like on a guided tour on our unique raised walkway. Choose to hike along the ridgeline trail or hop on a safari jeep to the spectacular Sublime Point for a breathtaking view of the south and west coast.
